Referrals will be made by an agency professional.
In order to be eligible for a grant, applicants must demonstrate a history of self-sufficiency and be able to show that, with the award of a financial grant by Friends of Man (SPE), they will be able to maintain their stability.
The Ideal Applicant: *living independently *be employed full time (35-40 hours a week) *have custody of their children *have little or no reliance on public assistance
Examples of Grants May Include: *deposit for housing *assistance with rent/deposit *funds for special clothing or equipment for employment *temporary child-care expenses *car repair if appropriate *assistance with utility bill
Applications can be filled out online by a professional (referral source) only which can be submitted by email (do not mail application). Self referrals are not accepted.
After the application is received by Friends of Man, the professional (referral source) will receive a call from a member of the Application Committee who will do a short interview. The applicant may also receive a call.
If the applicant is approved by the Application Committee, a check will be issued to the appropriate party.
